O cadastro pode ser realizado até o dia 4 de fevereiro, quando se inicia o ano letivo na cidade, e é necessário ter a partir de 15 anos e ser morador do município. Não há limite de vagas, visto que as classes são formadas de acordo com a demanda. As inscrições pode ser realizadas nas três unidades de ensino que oferecem esta modalidade em Ferraz: Escolas Municipais de Ensino Fundamental (Emef’s) “Prefeito Helmuth Hermamm Hans Louis Baxmann”, “Halim Abissamra” e “Ruy Coelho”. No ato do cadastro, o munícipe deve apresentar RG, CPF, comprovante de endereço e comprovante de escolaridade para quem já tiver cursado alguma série. Hoje, a cidade conta com aproximadamente 400 alunos no EJA. De acordo com a titular da pasta, Valéria Eloy da Silva Kovac, a abertura de mais vagas representa o investimento no EJA da cidade. “Nós temos trabalhado na qualidade não só da educação infantil e fundamental, mas também na Educação Para Jovens e Adultos. Hoje temos três polos, e dependendo da demanda que tivermos, há a possibilidade de abertura de outras unidades para esta modalidade de ensino. Junto com o prefeito José Carlos Fernandes Chacon, o Zé Biruta, com certeza, só temos a avançar neste sentido no próximo ano”, afirmou a secretária.
